The search engine optimization (SEO) industry has proven to be very profitable in this day and age when digital marketing is very important for all businesses. Companies are in a constant race to land on the top spot of that Google SERP or Search Engine Results Page. However, most of them might not have the time or the manpower to do so, hence, they hire experts to do it for them and are willing to pay a lot of money who can help them achieve their conversion goals.

Learn everything that you can about SEO and create the strategies that you will be using to make sure that your clients will land on top of that SERP. There are a lot of articles you can read online and a lot of books that can help you learn everything about the craft, including how to do market research, how to come up with high-quality content, optimization of your content, and monetization. If you think you have it all understood, you’re ready to move to the second step.

STEP 2 – Create a website

You don’t need to be an expert developer to do this. You can hire professionals to work on it. Just make sure to outline everything that you want to see on your website, create relevant content, and double check all the contact details.

STEP 3 – Promote your services

You can use your own website to demonstrate your SEO knowledge and skills. Make sure it ranks on top of the SERP and make sure it has high quality content that is engaging.

You can also ask for referrals from your friends, family, former colleagues, and existing clients. Studies show that you have a higher probability of closing deals when it comes from referrals. Make sure that you treat all these new clients well and give them top-notch service so the referrals won’t stop coming! Remember, a satisfied customer is the best business strategy.

STEP 4 – Master project management

At some point, you will be handling a lot of clients with different niches and demands. Make sure you can stay on top if all of this. Use productivity apps, planners, or anything that can help you stay organized. Don’t forget deadlines and meetings. This could put you in a bad place with your clients.

 

Once you have gone through all these steps, then you already have a business that is on its way to becoming a seven-digit success.  But, don’t stop there. Continue learning and finding more ways that could make your business more effective and successful. Keep learning, don’t lose your creativity, and always think big!
